Hispanic College Quiz fosters the knowledge of Latino
heritage and prominent individuals who made valuable contributions in various
fields. During the series, college
students from around the country show their knowledge about Latino culture and
history in an entertaining quiz show format.
Currently in its fifth year on air, Hispanic College Quiz chose students
from nine HACU-member schools to participate.
Previous winners have included the City Colleges of Chicago (2008) and
Trinity University (2010). This year,
the participating schools were from the states of California, Colorado,
Florida, Illinois, Texas and Washington. The three finalists were awarded
scholarships.
The Hispanic College Quiz was taped in Chicago on July 28 and will be broadcast during National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 through October 15). We’re proud to say that Karen is the national second place winner! Please be on the lookout for the show this fall and support Karen by tuning in and watching.
